The hand behind the work

Hi there.
I’m Pierre.

I’m a full-time freelance artist in South Africa. I make original, custom-made artwork, drawn by hand.

My work moves between pencil sketches, portrait studies, caricatures, paintings, murals, graphics, sign writing, comics and pyrography. Sometimes it’s a likeness. Sometimes a little humour. Sometimes a memory that deserves a place on the wall.

My experience includes working in the press, a graphic art company, a sign writing company and the art department of a textile factory.

Whether you have a particular photograph in mind or the beginnings of an idea, you’re welcome to get in touch about a custom-made piece.
